Filmmaker Manojkumar is ready with his next. The director of ‘Guruparvai’, ‘Rajyam’ and ‘Arya’, will soon wield the megaphone for a film titled ‘Utharavu’.

Circles close to the director say the movie will have filmmaker Seeman, known for his fiery remarks over the Lankan issue, as the protagonist. Interestingly, Manojkumar himself will play the villain.

Others in the cast are Nasser, Ganja Karuppu and Shanthini, a new face. A search is on for another heroine, it is said. Cinematography is by Madhav K Das while music is by Vijay Antony.

Snehan, Thamarai and Pa Vijay will pen the lyrics. The film will be shot in Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad and Mettupalayam, besides abroad locales including Switzerland, it is said.
